I am a Ph.D. student at the Big Data Analytics Group at Saarland University. My main topics are:
The combination of machine learning and meteorology for weather prediction, especially the nowcasting of thunderstorms
The exploration of hybrid index structures, combining different data layouts, search methods and other interesting properties
